THE HON. JAMES OGILVY

Mr. Ogilvy joined the Lord North Street Holding's Board in 2004 as a non-executive director. An Advisory Director of Berkshire Capital since 1998, James was Non-Executive Chairman of Foreign & Colonial Management, a role he undertook following his ten-year tenure as Chief Executive of F&C. While at F&C, James oversaw the growth of the firm from $5 billion of assets to over $50 billion in 1998. In addition to his position as Chief Executive, James has served as Chairman of twelve country or regional Luxembourg SICAVs and Dublin-based funds.

From 1986 to 1988, James was Vice Chairman of Mercury Asset Management PLC. He assumed that position following the merger of Mercury with Rowe & Pitman, where he had spent 27 years. In 1972, as a Partner of Rowe & Pitman, he formed Rowan Investment Managers and managed that business until 1986. Prior to Rowe & Pitman, James worked at Panmure Gordon for two years, and began his business career in 1956 at Anthony Gibbs Insurance.
