JOHN GENT
Head of Investment Research, John joined Lord North Street in 2000 Previously,
John was a Managing Director of JP Morgan where he spent 11 years in Private
Banking after leaving Kleinwort Benson and previously Orion Royal Bank.
While at JP Morgan he worked in Geneva, where he initiated JP Morgan's
Self-Directed Investors International Advisory service and led its development
for seven years; in New York where he ran international product development and
created, inter alia, the strategic asset allocation service, and in London in
1999, where he designed and developed the European private banking platform as
well as managing product development. John also created two Luxembourg-based
funds of hedge funds products- the first for JP Morgan -and became their
Chairman. He was the first Chief Executive of JP Morgan International Bank Ltd,
an entity dedicated to the bank's international clients outside the USA and
Switzerland.
John read economics at Cambridge, graduating at the age of 20 and is half
Italian, half English.
